And
God took a
handful of
South wind
and from it
formed a horse,
saying:
"I create thee, Oh Arabian.
To thy forelock, I bind Victory
in battle.
On thy back, I set
a rich spoil And a
Treasure in thy loins.
I establish thee as
one of the Glories
of the Earth...
I give thee flight
without wings."

of the Arabian Breed) |

| We
at Black Suede Arabians
have entered a lifelong
commitment to perpetuate
and enhance the
special characteristics
of the Egyptian
Arabian horse. As
lovers of horses,
we cherish our time
with them and treasure
the special relationship
that we have developed
with our Arabians. |
The Arabian horse
is truly poetry
in motion, and it
is a great honor
to be a part of
the royal heritage
of the straight
Egyptian Arabian.
We
began 35 years
ago as breeders
of Quarter horses,
but with the purchase
of the beautiful
black stallion
TR Black Suede,
we have found
ourselves transformed
by the beauty
and athletic ability
of the Arabian
horse, and more
specifically with
the straight Egyptian
Arabian. We feel
that TR Black
Suede was saved
just for us. |
The Washington Ranch,
where it all began
|
He
has become our
touchstone, and
since his purchase,
we have searched
the world for
the best mares
to breed to him
for our black
straight Egyptian
program, and have
obtained three
world-class straight
Egyptian mares,
as well as two
mares of great
significance for
our outcross program. |
|
As we develop
our program, currently
located at the Taylor
Ranch in the
beautiful Wasatch
Valley near Provo,
Utah, we are working
on plans for the
construction of
our own ranch that
will rival the beauty
of Koroho, and will
be dedicated entirely
to the development
of the Arabian horse.
Our daughters Ashley
and Stephanie Taylor
are also on the
team, as assistant
trainers, secretary,
and events planner.
Son Philip is our
senior handler and
conditioner under
the tutalage of
Isaac Taylor, the
senior trainer and
ranch manager for
Taylor Ranch. |
As
a family, we
have a close
relationship
to our horses,
and act on principles
of love and
positive reinforcement.
As our farm
grows and our
dreams come
to fruition,
we find that
our success
is the natural
result of our
dedication.
